  • Where can I park?
    There is free parking for participants and supporters on site all weekend at; Dig Deep HQ, Clarks Farm, Hangram Lane, Sheffield, S11 7QT Full details will be distributed in race packs nearer the time
  • Can I camp on site?
    Tents and campervan's are welcome on site all weekend for a charge of £5 per night. There will be tiolets and fresh water availabe on site but no cooking and shower facilities. Participants MUST book this at the point of entry via SiEntries. If you are supporting and wish to camp, please send an email to the address below. info@digdeeprace.com
  • How do I get to Race HQ?
    Dig Deep HQ is located at Clarks Farm, Hangram Lane, Sheffield, S11 7TQ The farm is located on the outskirts of Sheffield and is easily accessible by road. If you are driving, we have free parking on site. Travelling by taxi? If you are staying locally and wish to get a taxi to the race, there are a number of Sheffield firms who will travel this far; it is even covered by UBER. Public transport? The race HQ is a short 5min walk away from the bus stop on Ringinglow Road which is serviced by the 181 bus travelling between Sheffield City Centre and Dore.
  • Local Accomodation
    There are various accommodation options in the area. There are various pubs with accommodation, B&Bs and holiday cottages. Sheffield City centre is a 15min drive away with a plethora of hotels to suit any budget. If you're looking for something a little more rural, there are many hotels and guesthouses in neighbouring Peak District towns/villages such as; Hathersage, Hope, Calver, Grindleford, Bakewell.... the list goes on!
  • Are there aid stations on route?
    All 4 of the Dig Deep races will have aid stations on route. Full information for each race distance below: Dig Deep 10k Dig Deep 1/2 Dig Deep 30 Dig Deep 50
  • Can I run with a dog?
    Sorry no; however dogs are welcome at Dig Deep HQ if they remain on a lead
  • Where should I wear my race number?
    Your race number must be worn on your FRONT, and must be visible to marshals at all times. If you wear your race number on your back, you will be stopped by race officials and told to move it to your front.
  • Is there a mandatory kit list?

  • Where should I wear my race number?
    Your race number must be worn on your FRONT, and must be visible to marshals at all times. If you wear your race number on your back, you will be stopped by race officials and told to move it to your front.
  • Are there any age limits?
    Participants must be the following ages to take part: Dig Deep 10km - 18yrs Dig Deep 1/2 - 18yrs Dig Deep 30 - 20yrs Dig Deep 50 - 20yrs
  • Can I run with a dog?
    Sorry no; however dogs are welcome at Dig Deep HQ if they remain on a lead
  • Can I use trekking poles?
    Yes if you like
  • What happens if I retire?
    If you decide to retire you must do so at a checkpoint if at all possible and inform the event crew of your decision. We will provide somewhere warm and dry for you to wait (likely to be in a vehicle if an outdoor checkpoint) until we can transport you back the event HQ in Sheffield. This will be considered a lower priority than the operation of the checkpoint to support those still participating, so may not be until the checkpoint closes. You can, of course, make your own arrangement for transport back to Dig Deep HQ or elsewhere. However, it is essential that you inform a race official before leaving the event. If you cannot get to a checkpoint to inform a race marshal, please call Dig Deep HQ to inform them (the number will be printed on your race number)
  • What map do I need?
    Carrying a route map is not mandatory on the Dig Deep 10km & 1/2 however it is on the Dig Deep 30 & 50. Below is a summary of the off the shelf maps that cover all of the Dig Deep routes. Harvey Superwalker XT25 - Peak District Central Ordnance Survey Outdoor Leisure 1:25k - OL1 We also have specific event maps made by Harvey, available to buy from MyRacekit north, both online and in store.
  • Can I use earphones/headphones?
    No However, bone conductive headphones are allowed (Aftershokz etc)
  • Can I have a race crew/pacers?
    No, the use of support crews and or pacers is strictly forbidden
  • Where should I wear my race tracker?
    Your race tracker can be worn either on your wrist or ankle. It MUST be worn on your person at all times and not attached to your pack/shoe etc
  • What should I do with my litter?
    Carry it with you till you reach the next checkpoint! You absolutely MUST NOT drop any litter on the trail! Please dispose of all your litter at the recycling tables at checkpoints. If you see another runner dropping litter please ask them to pick it up. If you notice any race litter on the trail, e.g. gel wrappers, please pick it up yourself and dispose of it at the next checkpoint.
  • When and where is race registration?
    Race registration will be located at: Dig Deep HQ Clarks Farm Hangram Lane Sheffield S11 7QT Full details and timings will be available neared to race day.
  • Do I need to bring anything with me to register and collect my race pack?
    No, just yourself!
  • Can a friend register for me?
    No. All runners MUST pick up their own race number. No exceptions.
  • I can no longer race, what can I do?
    If you have entered any of the Dig Deep races and can no longer attend, please let us know by sending an email to info@digdeeprace.com. Depending on the situation, we may be able to offer some guidance on the best course of action; deferral, transferring to another runner or refund.   • What happens if I retire?
    If you decide to retire you must do so at a checkpoint if at all possible and inform the event crew of your decision.   • Do I really have to carry mandatory kit?
    Yes, yes you really do. Please just make things easy for us and comply with the kit rules. It could save your - or someone else's - life in an emergency. You may be kit checked at any point in the race. All mandatory kit lists are available on the individual race pages.
  • What should I do if I come across and injured runner?
    You absolutely MUST stop and try to help. It is very important that we all look after each other out on the trails. If a runner is seriously injured then you should call 999 first (ask for POLICE then MOUNTAIN RESCUE) then call Race HQ (the number will be on your race number). If you have no mobile phone signal please wait till another runner arrives to assist then run on until you get a signal. If the runner can't move and is getting cold, please use your and other runners' emergency foil blankets to keep the injured runner warm.
  • What should I do if I get lost?
    If you realise you have gone wrong somewhere, you should turn around and retrace your steps until you get back onto the race route. Once you're back at the point where you went wrong, you'll probably be able to see what the correct way actually is. If you become seriously lost and can’t find your way back on to the race route, please phone Race HQ and we will do our best to help you out. If you’re worried that this might happen to you, PLEASE download our gpx file and store it in your smartphone/GPS watch just in case. All GPX files are available to download below:
  • Is there medical support over the weekend?
    Yes, we will have full medical support over the weekend. There will be a medical station at Race HQ and roaming medical officers on the course; both provided and managed by Event Safety Group.
